What You'll Learn

Assemble a Scuba Unit

Assemble a scuba unit by attaching the regulator to the tank, securing the tank to the BCD, and checking for leaks. Make sure everything fits well and works properly before diving.

Perform Basic Skills with Ease

Perform basic skills with ease by practicing regularly and staying calm underwater. Skills like clearing your mask, checking your air, and adjusting buoyancy become second nature over time. The more you practice, the more confident and comfortable you’ll feel on every dive.

Handle common problems

Handle common problems by staying calm and using simple techniques. Clear your mask, recover your regulator, and signal your buddy if needed. Stay relaxed and dive safely!

PADI ReActivate Scuba Refresher

The PADI ReActivate Scuba Refresher program is designed for divers who haven’t been in the water for a while (not been diving for over 6 months) and want to refresh their skills before heading back into the deep.

Whether you’ve been out of the water for a few months or years, this program allows you to review essential dive knowledge and practice key skills in a controlled, comfortable environment. The course consists of two main components: a knowledge review, where you’ll go over important dive theory, and a skills refresher in the water, where you’ll practice scuba skills such as mask clearing, buoyancy control, and regulator recovery. After completing the ReActivate program, you’ll feel more confident, comfortable, and ready for your next dive adventure!

Course Content & Structure

The PADI Reactivate Program consists of a comprehensive refresher session, including an optional theoretical review through e-Learning and practical training. The course is designed to help certified divers regain confidence and refine essential diving skills before returning to fun diving.

Confined Sessions:

  • Mask Skills – Remove, replace, and clear your mask underwater.
  • Buoyancy Control – Achieve neutral buoyancy and practice hovering.
  • Emergency Procedures – Perform an emergency weight drop.
  • Alternate Air Source Use – Practice air-sharing techniques as both donor and receiver.
  • Controlled emergency swimming ascent – Perform a CESA in an controlled environment horizontally.

Theory at Your Own Pace (=Optional):

  • Study the theory at home or on your vacation, at your convenience, using the ‘Reactivate e-Learning’ package included in the course fee.
  • Once you pass the online theoretical exam, and your training, only then you are qualified to get your certification.

Open Water Sessions:

  • After mastering the skills in confined water, it’s time to apply them in the ocean! Together with your instructor, head to our beautiful house reef in Kerveli Bay of Samos!

Medical Requirement

Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.

  • Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course.

  • Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.

  • If you (or your physician) have questions about medical fitness to dive, contact the experts at Divers Alert Network (DAN).

Do I need to purchase the e-Learning course in advance through the PADI website?

No. With all of our courses, the e-Learning course is already included in the course prices.

Moreover, if you were to purchase the e-Learning course through the PADI website, it will end up being more expensive.

This is because we, as a dive center, have better conditions than individuals, allowing us to offer the e-Learning course at a lower price.

Therefore, it is absolutely not necessary to purchase the e-Learning course in advance through the PADI website.

If you do, unfortunately, the total price of the course will be higher for you.

How do I study for the theory?

The theory for all of our PADI courses is studied online through the e-Learning course.

This e-Learning course is included in our course prices.

For some courses, there is a written exam. This exam is included in the e-Learning course and can be taken at home during the course, at a time that suits you.

For your information: it is absolutely not necessary to have studied the theory in advance before starting the practical lessons.

What's the difference between the PADI Reactivate and the PADI Refresher Course?

The PADI Reactivate program is a more comprehensive review that includes both theoretical and practical components (recommended for divers who have not dived in more than 3 years). On completion, divers receive a replacement certification card with a reactivated date. The Refresher course does not include the PADI Reactivate eLearning package and at the end of the session, you’ll log your dive with your instructor, officially marking your return to the underwater world. You will not get the reactivate certification card.
