Diving is a fun way for kids to explore underwater like real adventurers! With a mask and fins, you can swim with colorful fish, find shells, and play games in the water. It’s a great way to have fun, stay active, and discover new things—just remember to dive safely and always with a buddy!
Exploring the Underwater World
Exploring the underwater world is like entering a magical place full of surprises! Kids can swim with colorful fish, see coral reefs, and discover sea creatures hiding in the sand. It’s an exciting adventure where every dive brings something new to explore!
Completing exciting AquaMissions
Experiencing your first breath underwater is an amazing moment! It feels strange at first, but soon you’ll feel like you’re floating in a whole new world. With each breath, you’ll feel more confident and ready to explore the wonders below the surface!
PADI Seal Team
The PADI Seal Team program is an introductory diving program for children aged 8 to 10, where they learn some of the same diving skills as in the PADI Junior Open Water course.
The program gives children from 8 years old the opportunity to explore the underwater world and take their first steps into the sport of diving.
It provides parents with an ideal opportunity to take a diving course as a family!
This Seal Team course is a perfect preparation for the Junior Open Water course, which can be taken once the child reaches the age of 10.
The use of all diving equipment is INCLUDED in the price. All you need is your swimwear and towel to join the course—we’ll take care of the rest!

Course Content & Structure
The PADI Seal Team course consists of 5 fun and educational pool sessions, called AquaMissions, each lasting 1 to 2 hours (depending on preference). These sessions can be completed over 3 or 5 days, allowing flexibility for different schedules.
Important: Diving in open water (such as a lake or the sea) is not permitted by PADI for children under 10 years old!
Course Completion & Next Steps:
- After completing the 5 AquaMissions, where children develop essential diving skills, participants will receive a Seal Team certificate (note: this is not an official diving certification).
- The skills learned in the Seal Team course closely match the first modules of the PADI Junior Open Water course, making it a perfect foundation for future scuba training. Once they turn 10, children can progress directly to the PADI Junior Open Water course and begin diving in open water.
Master Seal Team – Take It Further!:
- For those who want to continue their adventure, the Master Seal Team program is available after completing the Seal Team course.
- This advanced follow-up program includes 10 specialty AquaMissions, offering an experience similar to the PADI Advanced Open Water course but specially designed for kids!
Debriefing:
- Afterwards, enjoy a debriefing with further information about the dive.
- Explain limitations of the program and that they will need additional training to dive without supervision.
With the PADI Seal Team, young divers take their first breaths underwater, learn essential diving techniques, and gain confidence—all while having fun! Start your journey today!

Medical Requirement
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Chronic health conditions, certain medications and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving.
Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course.
Instructors, divemasters and dive shop staff are not physicians and should not be asked for medical advice; only medical professionals can give medical clearance to dive.
If you (or your physician) have questions about medical fitness to dive, contact the experts at Divers Alert Network (DAN).
Can I take an introductory dive before starting the Open Water course?
Absolutely, although this is not 'mandatory'. The purpose of our dive initiation is, on one hand, to introduce you to the underwater world and the sport of diving in general, and on the other hand, to give you a chance to get to know our dive center/instructors and our teaching style. It is called Discover Scuba Diving.
Do I need to provide my own buddy or fellow student to take the courses?
No. All of our courses are led by highly experienced instructors. You are assigned to a group, and you will always have enough fellow students to be your 'buddy'. In private courses, the instructor is your 'buddy'.
It is also not necessary to stay with the same fellow students throughout the course. The groups can be reorganized daily, depending on the module you are currently taking.
After this course
Experience new adventures with a PADI Instructor by your side. PADI continuing education courses like Advanced Open Water Diver and Deep Diver will help you develop your skills as a diver. Learn more about PADI Specialty courses.
Not sure which specialty to try first? Try the Advanced Open Water Diver course, it's like a specialty sampler platter.
Improve your navigation and buoyancy skills while you try new activities like wreck diving, night diving, or digital imaging
Choose from more than 20 specialty diving options
An Advanced Open Water Diver certification also opens the door to dive sites deeper than 18m/60ft
If you don't have the opportunity to dive for six months (or longer), you can quickly refresh the knowledge and skills you learned in Open Water with the PADI ReActivate® program. Your PADI certification never expires, but after a long period of inactivity, you may want to brush up on diving fundamentals and safety procedure.
